Toyota Hiace Varebil

This camper van will make your Norwegian roadtrip unforgettable. It has a very comfortable bed, lots of storage space and everything you need for camping. Toyota Hiace is well known for being the most reliable car with minimal chances for roadside assistance. The car is easy to drive and no wider than a regular car, but a tiny bit longer. It’s manual gear so you need to know how to drive a stick. There’s three seats in the front and four wheel drive.

I’m flexible on pickup location, both in Oslo and Eastern Norway. Bed sheets, linen, towels and eating cutlery and cups can be rented for a small fee. Comforters and pillows are included. Camping equipment, table, chairs, water tank, gas cooking stove (pictured), pots and pan is included.

The new bed with a frame mattress is now installed. This provides two levels of storage. Boxes on wheels gives easy access to your items. The bed frame is 20 cm tall, so it’s practical if your bag/suitcase has less depth than this. Length and width is not a problem.

A 12 volt cooler is included. This keeps your food and drinks cold when driving. A large power bank is included and will keep your phone and similar charged when not driving. Solar panel lights can be turned on at night, switch is inside the glasses. There is a shower which runs on batteries, and can be attached to the water tank on the ground and the open back door on top.

Phone can be connected to car speakers with Bluetooth, jack or USB. Portable Marshall speaker can be rented (pictured) together with games, hammock, etc.
Mosquito nets can be attached to side windows if needed at night. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket are in the left storage space.

It’s expected that you clean the interior car and bedroom after use. You also need to wash the cars exterior if it’s dirty after use. A cleaning fee of 800 NOK will be added if this is not done.

REMEMBER TO FILL DIESEL, not gasoline.
The warning lamp for low diesel level turns on very late, not more than 10km before empty tank. If needed, there is a spare can of diesel behind the bed top. The button for opening the diesel lid is on the right side of the driver seat, close to the floor.

Since this is a diesel car, wait a little bit before starting the motor after turning on the ignition.
Take a quick check of the car before each drive, for example flat tires and similar.
