🚗 A Few Friendly Guidelines for a Smooth Ride
To keep the Tesla Model Y in top condition for everyone, please follow these simple guidelines:

🚫 No Food or Drinks (Except Water)
To maintain a clean and fresh interior, please avoid eating or drinking in the car. Water is perfectly fine.
Please enjoy your snacks before or after your trip, or in designated rest areas.
🚬 Strictly No Smoking or Vaping
This includes inside the car and even with the windows down.
A cleaning fee will apply if any smoke odors are detected.
🔥 Camping Trips? Please Be Mindful
If you’ve been around a campfire, smoke and soot can transfer to the seats and interior.
A quick change of outer layers before getting in will help keep the car fresh for everyone.
❄️ Snow, Mud & Dirt
If you’ve been out in wet or muddy conditions, please give your shoes a quick stomp before entering to keep the floors clean.
The car has a snow brush located in the rear foot well. Please use it to remove any snow or slush left after using the defrost feature (don't use the scraper).
Do not use hot water to remove any ice, as it can damage the car’s surface.
🚿 Washing the Car
If the car needs a wash during your rental, please avoid automatic car washes with rolling brushes, as they can damage the paint.
A touchless wash or hand wash is preferred.
🧻 Cleaning Supplies
Universal wipes are in the driver's door pocket, along with glass wipes for your convenience.
A roll of paper is in the center console.
⚡ Charging
Please ensure the car is returned with at least 80% charge. This ensures the next renter has sufficient power to reach their destination without immediate charging.
Do not charge the car to 100%, as this is not good for the battery. Charging up to 95% is fine and provides plenty of range.
If you use a Tesla Supercharger, any fees billed to me will be requested for reimbursement through Getaround.
🔌 Charging Cable Location
The charging cable is stored in the frunk (front trunk).
The frunk can be opened through the Tesla app or the main screen in the car.
🚗 Mileage Limitations
Please be mindful of the mileage limit (in kilometers).
If the limit is exceeded, a charge per kilometer will be applied through the Getaround app.
🐾 Pets
Pets are not allowed in the car for the comfort of future renters.
However, if needed, I can provide a dog box in the trunk (free of charge), suitable for dogs up to 30 kg. Please request in advance.
🔧 Damage Reporting
If you notice any damage or issues with the car, please report them immediately via the Getaround app or contact me directly.
💸 Tolls & Fees
Tolls in and around Tromsø are automatic, and a charge request through Getaround will be sent 1-2 days after your rental when I receive the details.
You are responsible for any parking fees or traffic violations incurred during the rental period.
📍 GPS / Navigation System
Feel free to use the built-in Tesla navigation system.
Kindly reset any personal preferences or destinations before returning the car.
🧳 Return Condition
Please return the car in the same condition you received it, with the interior tidy and all personal items removed.
📞 Roadside Assistance
Roadside assistance is available 24/7 if the car becomes undriveable (e.g., breakdown, tire puncture, accident).
To contact roadside assistance, go to the rental agreement in the app and click on "Help."

🛠 Keyless Entry & App Issues
The car is accessed using keyless entry via the Getaround app.
Please ensure your phone has enough battery and the app is updated before your rental begins.
If you experience connection issues, try restarting the app or your phone. If problems persist, contact Getaround support.
🕐 Picking Up & Returning on Time
Please be punctual when picking up and returning the car.
If you're running late, extend your rental via the app to avoid late fees.
The car must be returned to the same location unless otherwise agreed.
🛑 Parking Rules & Returning the Car
When returning the car, ensure it is legally parked, avoiding restricted zones or private parking areas.
If unsure, take a picture of the car's location and send it through the app as proof of parking.
🌡 Climate Control & Battery Use
Pre-conditioning: If it’s cold, use the Tesla app or in-car controls to warm the cabin before unplugging the charger. This helps preserve battery range.
Avoid unnecessary idling with climate control on, as it drains the battery faster.
🚨 Emergency Situations
In case of an accident, breakdown, or issue, use the Getaround app’s "Help" feature to contact roadside assistance.
If there’s a technical issue with the Tesla, try restarting the touchscreen by holding both steering wheel buttons until the screen resets.
📷 Before & After Rental Photos
Take clear photos of the car (inside and out) before and after your rental.
This helps document the condition in case of any disputes.
