Fuel rules

The cost of fuel is not included in the rental price. If the driver returns the car with less fuel than was recorded at the beginning of their rental, the difference will be charged to them. If the driver returns the car with more fuel than at the start of the rental, the difference will be charged to you, and a refund issued to the driver based on the current fuel prices.

What happens if the driver notices a discrepancy in the fuel levels?

When picking up and returning the car, the driver may notice a difference between the fuel level they see on the car's gauge and the level recorded by the Getaround Connect device shown in the app.

At the beginning and end of the rental, the driver will be asked to take clear pictures of the fuel gauge on the dashboard. These pictures will be used as documentation for any contestation made regarding the fuel levels.
