How do I receive my rental earnings?

To receive your rental earnings, you must provide:

  • your bank account details (IBAN),
  • your billing information (name, address, etc.),
  • the verification documents (if required).

Go to Your account > Payment settings to add or update this information.

Once your information is saved, any changes will trigger a new identity verification process, which may delay your payments.

Why do I need to provide this information?

In accordance with "KYC" regulations (Know Your Customer), Getaround and its payment partner Stripe are required to verify the identity of users who receive payments. This helps prevent fraud and ensures compliance with legal obligations.

You may be asked to provide personal information and a valid ID. Periodic checks may also be carried out to confirm that your information is up to date. Occasional checks may be performed to ensure your information remains up to date.

In which countries can I receive my payments?

Stripe supports bank transfers to accounts based in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including overseas territories), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

If your bank account is not based in one of these countries, it is necessary to open one in one of the listed countries to receive your payments.

Can the driver pay me directly in cash?

No, all payments must go through the Getaround platform. Cash or off-platform transactions are strictly prohibited.

If you accept a direct payment and an incident occurs, your vehicle will not be covered by insurance.

Payments made through the platform ensure insurance coverage, transaction security, and proper customer support.

How do I update my payment method for Getaround Connect fees?

A payment card can be added at any time to pay your monthly Getaround Connect subscriptions and associated fees.

Go to: My Account > Payment Settings to add or modify your card.

How and when will I be charged?

Your monthly Getaround Connect subscription is automatically charged at the beginning of each month to the payment card you’ve added to your account.

Other potential fees may be charged as soon as the invoice is issued, regardless of your subscription billing date.

Charges appear on your bank statement as: GETAROUND * CONNECT.
